About Kendra
My name is Kendra Abernathy and I am a sophomore at the University of Washington. I am a Journalism and Comparative History of Ideas double major and I hope to land a job in the media industry after I graduate. This summer I will be completing my first internship with The Issaquah Press. I will also be traveling abroad to Greece in August to complete a research project with Professor Lagos and a group of students from the Department of Communication.
I have created this blog as a requirement for my class COM 460: Social Technologies, Media and Politics. Throughout the quarter I will be making weekly posts reflecting on class readings and other class activities. My goals this quarter include: learning how to create and manage a blog, developing my personal and public voice and attracting an audience to my blog.
